Club Activities

Our department would like to extend an activity under “Technical and Non-Technical CLUB” to fulfill the thirst of the corporate by updating the students’ knowledge on recent developments. It persuades to participate in the various technical competitions held in other colleges throughout India. And also these clubs will motivate the students to compete with other professionals and in innovator competition.

Name of the Student Club: Renewable Energy Club

About the Club:

This club provides the students with the knowledge about the alternate energy trends and information. The club is also supported by two coordinators Dr. Jayachandran and Mr. Nakkeeran of EEE department. The main objective of this club is to create awareness among students towards sustainable use of energy, the importance of it in our lives, and its impact on the future of energy development. Also, to propagate and promote the use of renewable energy resources. The action plan of this club is to organize several activities like seminars, expert lectures, poster presentation, paper presentation, quiz competition, etc. for students. This club explain and train the students to gain knowledge about the fundamentals of various renewable energy sources and its basic components. Through this club we can unleash the basics of renewable energy technologies, including how they work, what they’re used for, and how they can improve our lives, homes, businesses, and industries. As an initiative, we give simple projects to the students based on solar and wind energy and enable them to utilize those products in their daily lives. We also, Guide encourage the students to think innovatively and do projects in the field of solar and wind energy.

Seminar on Diode and Transistor, Technical & General Quiz 40 12.03.2022 Students of First and Third Year Electrical and Electronics Engineering attending a seminar on “Diode & Transistor”.
Ms. DhivyadarshniVijayakumar (3rd year EEE) conducted session on Diode.
Followed by a session on Transistors conducted by Mr. Tom Tijo, Mr. S. Srinivasan&Mr. R. Rahul (1st year EEE).

About the Club:

Nowadays, embedded systems are used in many different fields such as automotive, robotics, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, tele-communications, consumer electronics, biomedical equipment and instrumentation. Looking at its diversity of applications and potential for production of highly innovative products, embedded systems can be considered as the primary technology of the Present and Future. The club aims to technically strengthen the students by integrating their skills in the various fields of Engineering & technology, to cope up with the highly competitive environment. To motivate the students to pursue research in the field of Embedded Design and to get funded projects in Embedded Domain.

Hands on Training “ Programming in the embedded circuit board” 52 12.03.2022 For the first 2 periods, we were teaching the basics and clear-cut idea of what is embedded system and how it will be in real time with examples. Showing them how Microprocessor and Micro-controller looks like and pin details of Arduino board were taught. For the other 2 periods, we were teaching the basic C program to the students to make them familiar to learn the embedded C program and learn programming in the embedded circuit board. And the basic blinking of Led program in Arduino board was shown to the students by running the code.
Workshop on Programming 52 26.03.2022 So, in this class what we did was that we divided the students into 6 groups and each group was given the necessary materials to do a certain project using Arduino. We used different kind of sensors such as pir sensor, soil moisture, water level sensor, etc.We saw to that each group did their project individually and each group completed the task given to them. students were also thought the working of the following sensors before they even started to work on the project.

The Basic Electrical and Electronics Club aims to provide students a platform and resources to gain practical skills and realize projects. We strive to teach and help students acquire new skills in an era of rapidly evolving technology. We believe in coming up with projects that are innovative and tackle real life problems. To achieve these objectives we conduct various lectures, workshops and mentorship programs to help students realize their projects. The Hackathon and Entrepreneurship Club aims to motivate the students for innovating ideas, to promote student to participate in coding competition like

hackathon / project model or exhibition, to gain project funding from Govt. body like AICTE, RGPV, to file a patent for given solution, to make a start-up with developed product. In this age of increasing automation, programming is not limited to only computer science and related fields. Every competent engineer needs to know how to program. This makes Programmers Club one of the most important clubs in the institute.Itorganises a variety of technical activities on a weekly basis. Programming Club is a forum for students interested in coding.It gives an opportunity interact, share and gain knowledge about different programming aspects and languages. It helps an individual to improve technical as well as problem solving skills. It allows students to refine the programming skills obtained in class in order to compete in different programming events.

Lecture on basic commands and programs, group coding for simple programs 45 12.03.2022 Students of First year, second year and Third year from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering had been working out the problems based on the questions asked in TCS Digital and Code Vita both by individual and in groups. Students of First year, second year and Third year from the department of Electrical and Electronics attending a short lecture on how to solve interview type programming questions from TCS digital and Code Vita.
Worked out TCS digital and Codevita programs 45 26.03.2022 Students of First year, second year and Third year from the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering attending the lecture on Basic commands and programs in C language. The lecture covered the topics on String and operations on strings, Basic logic and mathematical programs. Students of First year, Second year and Third year from the department of Electrical and Electronics were split into teams of three members and were given the task of displaying the output programs in C language.
