Hands on Training
BioMedical Engineering department had organized a one day Hands-on Training on “Medical Coding” by Mrs.Suganya, Human Resource and Managing Director, Indian Healthcare, Puducherry on 07-09-2023. Speaker started the session with basics of Human Anatomy and physiology. Then she gave an introduction about medical coding and Pathology. She explained brief about ICD coding system & CPT coding system and its importance in Medical Insurance & Medical Billing. Finally, she concluded with career opportunity in the field of Medical Coding. A total of 35 participants attended the Workshop and made use of it.

About the Club:
In Biomedical Engineering department, Technical club ‘Bio Dreams’ was inaugurated in the year 2020. It gives more benefits to the students. They are not only receiving insights from their teachers but also from their classmates, Alumni members and Industrial Experts. Through Technical club Students organisedvarious activities like Technical seminar, Debate, Elocution, Poster presentation, Mini Project development, Technical quiz programs, Quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning solving and Skill development in programming languages like C, C++ , Python, etc.
Bio dreams club provides plenty of opportunities for students to show off their talents through club activities. Theme oriented activities like Water day celebration; Engineers day celebration, etc. are coordinated by Bio Dreams club. Theme oriented activities includes Elocution, Drawing, Poster Presentation, Project Expo and Short film etc. It will inspire the students to participate in various events and to enhance their knowledge. Since, all the club activities are executed by the students; it will give more experience to the students in events organization, time management etc..
