Civil engineering, one of the oldest specialities after military engineering, is critical to advancing civilization. It includes the design, building, and upkeep of the built environment. Sub-disciplines include environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, and others.
The field includes public and private sectors, ranging from municipal undertakings to worldwide endeavours. The Civil Engineering department at our university, considered one of the top civil engineering colleges in Pondicherry, was formed in the academic year 2012–13 with 60 students. By 2015, student enrollment had doubled to 120; it is expected to reach 60 students annually by 2021. We take pride in being recognized among the best civil engineering college at Pondicherry for our consistent academic excellence and growth.
