About Our College
Sri Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust was founded to provide quality and affordable education to the weaker sections of society. The trust established Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College (SMVEC) in 1999. SMVEC is an autonomous institution affiliated to Pondicherry University. It offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in Engineering, Arts and Science, Allied Health sciences, School of Agriculture, Centre of Legal Education, School of Physiotherapy and School of Pharmacy.
SMVEC has a sprawling green campus with well-furnished infrastructure. The college has a Wi-Fi enabled campus, central library, high-end computing facilities, individualized department buildings with advanced laboratories, centralized air-conditioned auditorium, campus security cameras and video surveillance system, mineral water plant, hostels for both boys and girls, and other essential amenities like ATM and post office.
SMVEC has been accredited by NAAC and NBA. The college has a good placement record with students getting job offers from top companies in India and abroad. SMVEC students have won many awards and accolades for their academic achievements.

Sri Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust was founded to provide quality technical, medical, and other relevant education, especially to the disadvantaged members of society.
The trust operates several educational institutions in the Union Territory of Puducherry, including an engineering college, a medical college, a nursing college, and a polytechnic college. The trust also runs a charitable hospital that provides free medical care to the poor.
The trust is committed to providing quality education to all, regardless of their financial background. They believe that education is the key to a better future, and they are working to make it a reality for everyone.
The trust provides state-of-the-art facilities and modern technologies to its colleges to help students become employable and successful entrepreneurs. Director's Message
Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College is located in a peaceful environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This allows students to focus on their studies without distractions. The administration is committed to maintaining peace and order in the campus, and they take every necessary measure to ensure the safety of the students.
The College is having teams of dedicated faculty members in each department who are fully qualified.
The college has a dynamic administration that works hard to produce quality engineers who are well-suited for the digital world. They offer value-added courses in each department to help students get the skills they need to succeed in the job market. The college also focuses on developing students into good citizens by teaching them discipline and other important values.
The institution is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade in the year 2013. Ours is the first engineering institution in the Union Territory of Puducherry which has got the NAAC accreditation.Right from the first batch, the students of this institution have bagged the gold medals and top ranks of the Pondicherry University. Each department is having state of Art equipments and fully furnished labs. Well equipped Library is also available. Separate hostel facilities are available forboys and girls with gym. I welcome all the students to utilize these facilities available at this institution for their academic growth.
