JUBILATION ‘26 – CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENTS


Jubilation ’26, organized by the Training and Placement Division at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College (SMVEC), was a grand celebration of student success and accomplishments. The event created a proud platform to recognize academic excellence and placement achievements. Students, faculty, and dignitaries gathered to mark this special occasion. Tamizhthai Vazhthu & SMVEC Anthem


Tamizhthai Vazhthu was rendered to honour the rich cultural heritage. This was followed by the SMVEC Anthem, instilling pride among the audience. The performances reflected tradition and institutional identity. It created a sense of belonging among participants. The segment added cultural and emotional value to the event. An engaging AV presentation showcased student achievements and milestones. It highlighted placement success and academic excellence.

Ceremonial Lighting of the Kuthuvilakku


The ceremonial lighting of the Kuthuvilakku symbolized knowledge and positivity. Dignitaries lit the lamp to mark an auspicious beginning. It represented the removal of darkness and the spread of wisdom. This traditional ritual added cultural richness to the event. It set an inspiring tone for the celebration.

Welcome Address


The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. V.S. K. Venkatachalapathy, Director cum Principal, SMVEC. He expressed joy over the students completing their graduation and examinations. He extended his heartfelt wishes for their bright future and career success. He highlighted Jubilation ’26 as a milestone marking students’ transition into professionals. He appreciated the efforts of faculty, placement team, and industry partners, and warmly welcomed all dignitaries and participants.

Felicitation of Dignitaries

The dignitaries on the dais were honored with great respect and gratitude. Their presence added prestige and significance to the occasion. The felicitation recognized their valuable contributions, leadership, and guidance. It reflected the institution’s appreciation for their continuous support and encouragement. This segment enhanced the dignity of the event and inspired the audience.

Placement Report


The Placement Report was presented by Dr. N.S.N. Cailassame, Dean – Placement, highlighting key achievements of the placement activities. He shared that over 750 offers were made, with more than 700 students placed in top companies, with packages reaching up to 18 LPA. He also mentioned collaborations through MoUs with more than 83 companies and participation of over60 companies in recruitment. He appreciated the support of management, faculty, and industry partners in achieving this success. He concluded by expressing confidence in students’ future growth and accomplishments.

Felicitation Address


The Felicitation Address was delivered by Shri D. Rajarajan, Treasurer, SMVEC, who warmly welcomed all dignitaries and students. He congratulated the students and highlighted that an offer letter is just the beginning of their professional journey. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning, communication, and problem-solving skills in the workplace. He also stressed the value of adaptability and staying updated with modern technologies. He concluded by motivating students to work hard and achieve success in their careers.

Presidential Address


The Presidential Address was delivered by Shri M. Dhanasekaran, Chairman and Managing Director, SMVEC who congratulated the students on their achievements. He emphasized that an offer letter is just the beginning and real learning starts in the workplace. He encouraged students to focus on self-learning, adaptability, and staying updated with new technologies. He also advised them to set clear career goals and make the best use of every opportunity. He concluded by motivating students to work hard, stay disciplined, and achieve success in life.

Chief Guest Address


The Chief Guest Address was delivered by Shri Jude Richard, Chief Architect, TCS, Chennai, who congratulated the students on their achievements. He emphasized the importance of ownership, responsibility, and sincerity in every task. He encouraged students to set clear goals, continuously learn, and adapt to changing technologies. He also highlighted the need for self-assessment and making the right career choices. He concluded by advising students to stay grateful and committed to their professional growth.

Recognition and Felicitations


The event honored CoE, Deans, HoDs, and placement team members. Their contributions were acknowledged for student success. This recognition highlighted teamwork and institutional strength. It showcased the collective effort behind achievements. The segment reinforced the importance of collaboration.

Offer Letter Distribution

The distribution of offer letters was a proud and memorable moment. The Chief Guest handed over offers to students from various departments. Faculty members from EEE, ECE, CSE, IT, Mechanical, Civil, AI&DS, and PG programs participated. This marked the beginning of students’ professional journeys. It symbolized success and new opportunities.

Vote of Thanks


The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. J. Madhusudanan, Training Coordinator, on behalf of the SMVEC Placement Cell. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest for his presence and inspiring words. He also thanked the Chairman, Treasurer, Director, and management for their continuous support. The efforts of faculty, placement team, staff, and students were acknowledged, concluding the event on a grateful note.

National Anthem


The program came to an end with the National Anthem. All attendees stood in respect, expressing unity and patriotism. It was a proud and dignified closing moment of the event. The anthem created a sense of togetherness among everyone present. It brought the celebration to a respectful and memorable close.
