The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of SMVEC organized its IQAC Day CelebrationonMarch 23, 2026, at the college auditorium. The programme was centered on the theme “சங்க இலக்கிய பார்வையில் நிலையான வளர்ச்சி நோக்குகள் (SDGs)”, highlighting the relevance of ancient Tamil literature in understanding and promoting sustainable development goals.
Inaugural Session
The event commenced with the traditional Thamizh Thaai Vaazhthu, invoking cultural pride and setting a respectful tone for the celebration. This was followed by the SMVEC Anthem, reflecting institutional unity and spirit. An engaging AV presentation was showcased, offering insights into the significance of IQAC initiatives and sustainable development.
Welcome Address
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Dr. A.A. Arivalagar, IQAC Coordinator, who emphasized the importance of integrating traditional knowledge systems with modern sustainability practices. He highlighted the role of IQAC in ensuring quality education and continuous institutional improvement.

The Chief Guest was formally honored as a mark of respect and appreciation for his presence and contribution to the academic community.
Chief Guest Address
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Prakash, Professor, Department of Management Studies, C.K. College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), Cuddalore. In his insightful speech, he elaborated on the connection between Sangam literature and sustainable development, stressing how ancient wisdom can guide modern society in achieving ecological balance and social responsibility. His address inspired students and faculty to adopt a holistic and culturally rooted approach toward sustainability.
Vote of Thanks
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. A. Vinoth, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, who expressed gratitude to the chief guest, organizing committee, faculty members, and participants for making the event a grand success.
