We are thrilled to share the success of our second-year Civil Engineering students – Ashwin M, Devabalaji J, Mohamed Niyas K, and Ragul S – who made a remarkable mark at the prestigious Yutira 2025, a national-level technical symposium hosted by PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.
A Platform to Showcase Civil Ingenuity
Yutira 2025, held on February 28 and March 1, 2025, brought together the brightest minds in civil engineering from across the country. The event was meticulously designed to enhance core civil engineering competencies through a series of technical challenges, a hands-on workshop, and insightful paper presentations.
This two-day event aimed at deepening participants’ understanding of modern civil engineering concepts, practices, and standards through:
- Build Bound Challenge
- Cipher Craft: Unlocking IS 456:2000
- Build Battle
- Survey Smarts
- A Civil Engineering Workshop
- Paper Presentation Sessions
First Place in Survey Smarts
Our students emerged champions in the Survey Smarts competition, securing First Place. This event tested their precision, teamwork, and practical knowledge in land surveying techniques and modern equipment usage. The team showcased exceptional skill in executing surveying tasks under time constraints and demonstrated a strong grasp of field calculations and mapping standards.
Third Place in Build Battle
In addition, the team also secured a commendable Third Place in the Build Battle event. This was a fast-paced structural design challenge that required participants to conceptualize and construct models based on predefined constraints. Their solution stood out for its stability, innovative approach, and efficient use of materials – reflecting the robust engineering principles taught in our classrooms.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Events like Yutira 2025 play a crucial role in blending theoretical learning with practical experience. It gives students a platform to test their academic knowledge in competitive scenarios, network with peers from other institutions, and receive feedback from seasoned professionals and academicians in the field.
Congratulations and Future Aspirations
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ashwin M, Devabalaji J, Mohamed Niyas K, and Ragul S for their outstanding performances. Their achievements not only highlight their dedication and teamwork but also bring pride to our institution.
