We are delighted to announce the outstanding performance of our Information Technology students from SMVEC at the Future of Work Hackathon, organized by Kroolo in collaboration with TGB on 19 and 20 July. The event was held at Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore, and served as a vibrant platform for young innovators to showcase their talent in solving real-world problems using technology.
About the Organizers
Kroolo is a Singapore-based technology company with a presence in seven countries. The company specializes in building AI-powered productivity platforms tailored for modern enterprises. Their collaboration with TGB for this hackathon was aimed at discovering future-ready solutions that can reshape how businesses operate in the evolving digital landscape.
Participation
From our College Department of IT, a total of three students teams participated in this national-level hackathon. We are incredibly proud to share that two of our teams secured top positions, showcasing not only their technical skills but also their creativity and problem-solving capabilities.
Second Place – Team 221B
- Team Member: Surya Pratap Singh R
- Project Title: Viksit.AI
- Cash Prize: ₹25,000
Surya’s project, Viksit.AI, impressed the jury with its innovative application of AI in solving workplace challenges. His solution stood out for both its technical depth and potential for real-world impact.
Third Place – Team Gravity
- Team Members: Saathvic S, Dinesh Kumar C, Shriram S
- Project Title: GravitycARgo
- Cash Prize: ₹10,000
Team Gravity brought fresh ideas and collaborative energy with their project, GravitycARgo. Their creative approach to leveraging technology in the logistics and cargo domain earned them a spot among the top winners.
Beyond Prizes – Internship Opportunities
In addition to the well-deserved cash rewards, Kroolo has extended internship support to the winning teams. This opportunity will allow our students to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology at an international level.
