Introduction
Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College (SMVEC), Puducherry, in collaboration with the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (IEEE TEMS) India Initiative and IEEE Madras Section, successfully hosted IEEE TEMS Horizon 75 on 18th July 2026 at the SMVEC Auditorium. The prestigious event commemorated the 75th Anniversary of the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society, celebrating its remarkable journey of empowering technology leaders and promoting engineering management across the globe.
Tamil Thai Vazhthu and SMVEC Anthem
The inaugural ceremony started with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the SMVEC Anthem, reflecting the institution’s vision and commitment to academic excellence. The renditions created a sense of pride and unity, setting an inspiring tone for the celebration.
Lighting of the Kuthu Vilakku
The dignitaries ceremonially lit the Kuthu Vilakku, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance and marking the formal inauguration of the event. The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. V.S.K.
