Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, Puducherry celebrated International Women’s Day on 10 March 2026 at the college auditorium. The event was organized by the Women Empowerment Cell under the theme “Give To Gain,” emphasizing the importance of sharing knowledge, compassion, and opportunities for growth.
The celebration was graced by Dr. A. Shamimunisa Begum, Deputy Director (Public Health), Government of Puducherry; Dr. A. Lakshmi Duttai, Assistant Professor, Pondicherry University; and Dr. O. Kavipriya, Past Chairwoman, CII-IWN, Puducherry.
The function was presided over by Shri. M. Dhanasekaran, Chancellor of Takshashila University and Chairman & Managing Director of SMVE Trust, and was felicitated by Shri. D. Rajarajan, Treasurer. Smt. Geetha Dhanasekaran, Smt. Kavitha Sugumaran, and Dr. Vaishnavi Rajarajan also graced the occasion and encouraged the spirit of women empowerment.
The program was organized under the leadership of Dr. V. S. K. Venkatachalapathy, Director cum Principal. The Controller of Examinations, Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students participated in the celebration.
