The Department of Civil Engineering at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, in association with the Indian Plumbing Association, organized a seminar on “3D Visualization using SketchUp and Lumion” on 31st January 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Seminar Hall, SMVEC. The session was delivered by Er. V. Ilamathy, a professional 3D Visualizer and freelance 3D modeler.
The seminar provided valuable insights into the fundamentals of 3D modeling and architectural visualization using SketchUp and Lumion. The speaker demonstrated practical techniques for creating realistic models, rendering, lighting, and presentation outputs. The session enhanced students’ understanding of modern visualization tools and their applications in civil engineering projects.
