A Graceful Start


The App Launch event commenced on a traditional and dignified note with the soulful rendering of Thamizh Thaai Vazhthu, honouring our rich Tamil heritage. This was followed by the powerful and inspiring SMV Anthem, which set an energetic tone for the gathering.

The ceremonial opening created a perfect atmosphere of unity, pride, and anticipation as the event moved forward into the official launch proceedings.

A Symbolic Beginning


The next highlight of the App Launch event was the lighting the Lamp, a revered tradition that signifies the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge. Esteemed dignitaries came forward to light the lamp, marking an auspicious start to the proceedings.

Welcome address:

          
Dr. V. S. K. Venkatachalapathy Director cum Principal delivered the Welcome Address by expressing his pleasure in inaugurating the SMVEC Students’ Digital Office and highlighting the need to embrace digital transformation. He explained that with nearly 11,500 students across all institutions, a digital platform is essential for managing academic and administrative activities efficiently. He appreciated the contributions and the development team, encouraging the audience to acknowledge their efforts. He emphasized that the new app will simplify processes like attendance, reviews, exams, and fee tracking, reducing confusion and manual errors. He also advised faculty members to guide students regularly in using the app and stressed that discipline and consistent practice are key for long-term success. He concluded by congratulating the entire team and warmly welcoming all participants to the event.

Insightful Address on the Launch of SMVEC Digital Campus App


As part of the event, a detailed and insightful address was delivered by Shri.D. Rajarajan Pro chancellor of Takshashila University, Treasurer of SMV Trust to the staff members highlighting the launch of the SMVEC Digital Campus Application, a unified digital platform designed to enhance academic and administrative efficiency for both staff and students.


During the address, He emphasized the vision of creating “One App, One Place, One Smooth Digital Journey” for the entire campus community. The newly launched application integrates multiple academic and administrative functions into a single, user-friendly platform, simplifying daily operations and improving accessibility.


The speech clearly explained the staff app download process, guiding faculty members through simple steps using the Google Play Store or Apple App Store by searching for “BloomByte Education”. The OTP-based login system was highlighted as a secure and hassle-free feature, eliminating the need for passwords.


Special focus was given to the Attendance Management System, where staff can easily select classes, mark absentees, and ensure real-time synchronization with the student application. The speaker also elaborated on Human Resource features such as leave balance tracking and biometric integration, enabling staff to monitor attendance and leave details with transparency and accuracy.


The address further covered advanced Digital Learning features, including online class scheduling, digital diary systems for effective lesson planning, and the seamless sharing of learning materials. The Exam Management module, syllabus repository, and instant access to internal marks were highlighted as key benefits for academic monitoring and student support. The session was met with keen interest, and the staff members listened attentively, actively engaging with the details as the features were explained, reflecting their enthusiasm toward adopting the digital platform in their academic and administrative practices.


Additional features such as transport tracking, library management, hostel monitoring, timetable management, and circular distribution were presented as major steps toward a paper-free, smart campus environment.

The session concluded with a strong message that adopting digital tools is essential for building a smarter and more connected campus. The staff members were encouraged to actively use the application to experience its full potential in simplifying academic and administrative processes.

A Symbolic Digital Inauguration by the Esteemed Treasurer

    

The SMVEC Student and Staff Mobile Application was officially launched by our beloved Treasurer through a symbolic and innovative digital inauguration. To mark this special occasion, a launch video demonstrating the features and vision of the application was prepared and showcased.

The application was formally inaugurated when Shri D. Rajarajan, Pro Chancellor of Takshashila University and Treasurer of SMV Trust, pressed the launch button, which triggered the video presentation. This moment symbolized the beginning of a new digital era for SMVEC, reflecting the institution’s commitment to adopting advanced technology for academic and administrative excellence.

The session concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. P. Jamuna, Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In her address, she expressed her sincere gratitude to the management for their constant guidance and support in making the event a grand success.
