ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

UG COURSES

B.Tech Courses

A pass in the higher secondary examination of the (10+2) curriculum (academic stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu or any other examination equivalent there to with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category) in aggregate of subjects – Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry / Biotechnology/ Computer Science / Biology (Botany & Zoology) or an examination of any University or Authority recognized by the Executive Council of the Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto.

Number of attempts : Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with a maximum of two attempts for General and three attempt for the candidates belonging to the SC / ST communities and two attempts for candidates belonging to the OBC / BCM / MBC / and BTC communities.

Age Limit : The upper age limit is 21 years on 1st July of the academic year ( Relaxation up to three years for candidates belonging to OBC / BCM / MBC / EBC and BT communities and five years for candidates belonging to SC / ST communities

B.Tech course (Lateral entry)

The minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the three year diploma or four year sandwich diploma course in engineering / technology with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) in aggregate in the subjects covered from 3rd to final semester or a pass in any B.Sc. course from a recognized University as defined by the UGC, with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject, upto a maximum of 20% of the sanctioned intake, which will be over and above, supernumerary to the approved intake. PG COURSES

Master of Computer Applications

Candidates who have secured 55% of marks or above in any one of the following or equivalent, are eligible to apply: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications / Computer Science / Information Technology or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Corporate Secretaryship / Economics / Business Administration with Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications as one of the subject (or) Bachelors degree in Science with minimum of 55% marks (45% marks for reserved categories).

Master of Business Administration

Three years Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved categories).

M.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science:

B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering through regular course of study from an AICTE approved institution or an examination of any University or authority accepted by the Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto, with at least 55% marks in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.

M.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering:

B.E. / B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering / Communication Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 55% marks.

M.Tech. VLSI & Embedded Systems

B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering/Electronic sand Communication Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science and Engineering / Instrumentation and Control Engineering / Bio Medical Engineering / Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering through regular course of study from an AICTE approved institution or an examination of any University or authority accepted by the Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto, with at least 55% marks in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.

M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering:

B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology or M.C.A. through regular course of study or an examination of any university or authority accepted by the Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto, with at least 55% marks in aggregate in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.

M.Tech Computer Science Engineering (Big data Analytics)

B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics and Communication Engineering or M.C.A through regular course of study from an AICTE approved institution or an examination of any University or authority accepted by the Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto, with at least 55% marks in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.

M.Tech. Manufacturing Engineering:

B.E / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgy / Automobile / Production / Manufacturing / Industrial / Aeronautical/ Thermal / Mechatronics / Precision Manufacturing Aerospace / Automation & / Marine / Mechanical & Automation Engineering / Nano Technology and Material Science and Technology through regular course of study from an AICTE approved institution or an examination of any University or authority accepted by the Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto, with at least 55% marks in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.

Entrance Examination

UG Courses:

Candidates seeking admission to all the UG programmes under Management quota must have appeared for the common entrance test for Pondicherry private Engineering Colleges (CETPPEC) and should also fulfill all the requirements prescribed by the Pondicherry University/ AICTE/Govt. of Puducherry for the course.

PG Courses:

Candidates seeking admission to the PG programmes offered at this institute, under Management quota must have appeared for the Common Entrance test for Pondicherry post graduate programme (PGCET) and should also fulfill all the requirements prescribed by the Pondicherry University/AICTE/Government of Puducherry for the course.
