Master of Business Administration (MBA)

NBA for MBA program – SMVEC is the only Institution in Puducherry to gain the accreditation

Introduction

The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program. It is a 4 semester regular program spread over two academic years. MBA program is approved by AICTE, accredited by NBA and affiliated to Pondicherry University. The core management concepts and techniques are taught in the first year, thereafter advanced knowledge and skills in the areas of specialization opted by the students are nurtured in the final year.

The Department of Management Studies offers a 4-semester MBA program. The program is approved by AICTE, accredited by NBA, and affiliated to Pondicherry University.

The first year of the program focuses on teaching core management concepts and techniques. In the second year, students can choose to specialize in any two of the following areas: marketing, finance, systems, human resources, entrepreneurship, operations, or information analytics.

Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions, case studies, and other activities to learn from the best of theory and practice. They also have the opportunity to undertake field surveys and projects to gain real-world experience.

The Department of Management Studies organizes seminars, training programs, and workshops on contemporary issues and evolving concepts. These events are delivered by eminent scholars, academicians, and corporate personalities.

In order to enhance the students communication the department has established state of an art communication lab with the latest communication software, computers and hi-fi headphones and provides conducive atmosphere to speed up the time span of learning.
